Rental proceedures

Rental Contract terms
Rental contract goes from the date the contract is signed by both parties until two days after the items are returned.

For example, if the event date is Aug 31st then the rental contract w/ payment would be signed around August 15th.  The items would need to be returned within one week after the event (by September 7th) and the contract would go until approximately September 15th.

Rental Contract Payments
Payments may be made in two installments.  The first when the contract is signed and the second approximately two weeks before the event.  So in the above case, the first payment would be due around August 15 and the second payment would be due on August 30.

Although, some rental contracts could be shorter in length most contracts will be at least 30 days in duration.  The turnover in rental items is relatively quick that I would not extend any contract further than 45 days.  I have gotten requests for items to be rented several months in advance, however, at this time I am not able to extend any rental contract past 45 days.

If you are in need of a contract past 45 days you can sign an "extension of contract" which allows you to purchase items at a reduced cost (more than the rental cost but less than the listed cost).  Please email if you have this need.

Rental payments can be made with a credit card, personal check, money order, cash, and paypal.

Any items not returned within the time frame will be charged the fees for another rental contract terms.

If items are not returned within 60 days then collection proceedings will be pursued for the toal "purchase price" of the items.

Returned item condition
Items must be in good used condition.  We understand that they may not be perfect when they are returned because food may be spilled, liquids spilled, etc.

Purposefully damaging items or altering items will be charged the full purchase price for each item.  For example, if you altered an item to fit what you were using it for or if you used a table cloth for a sign and wrote on it then these items will be charged the full purchase price.

If you break a glass candle holder or candelabra then there will be  a fee attached to that for the replacement of the item.

Handling Fee
Each order is assessed a 10% handling fee.  If your rental total is ovr $500.00 then there is only a maximun of $50.00 charged.

Sales Tax
Orders within Iowa are charged 7% sales tax.
